SF-110/120
The Industry's Most Popular Flowbench

The original, industry standard SF-110 flowbench is used by professional motorcycle and automotive engine rebuilders all around the world. The rugged and durable SF-110 tests engines up to 100 hp (75 kW) per cylinder.

The SF-120 is the result of customer requests for higher intake capacity on the SF-110. Additional high-pressure motors on the intake side of the SF-120 give it 30% more intake flow capacity. To illustrate, heads that can be tested at 10" (25 cm) of water on the SF-110 can be tested at 15" (38 cm) of water on the SF-120. The advantage: higher test pressure allows operators to view results with higher resolution, making it easier to see small gains.

Flow: Flows a maximum of 185 cfm at 15" of water (86 l/s at 38 cm). The SF-110 and SF-120 provide fast, accurate and repeatable results at any test pressure between 5" (13 cm) and 15" (38 cm) of water. Testing is typically performed at 10" of water test pressure; for smaller valves, test pressure can be increased to 15" (76 cm). With the optional FlowComT users can test at up to 25" (63.5 cm) of water.

Flow Direction: The SF-110 and SF-120 are both capable of intake and exhaust flow direction. Operators switch from one to the other by simply turning two knobs. To change flow direction to test two-cycle engines, set the direction to exhaust. Air is then blown up through transfer ports, into cylinder heads where it exits via the exhaust port.

Flow Measurement: The SF-110 and SF-120 utilize five flow orifices at the top of the machine and an inclined flow meter for accurate measurement. By selecting proper orifice combinations, the flow meter can be used in nine ranges from 10 cfm (4.7 l/s) up to 185 cfm (87 l/s), with all reading within 0.5%. Nine ranges increase the resolution of flow measurement as compared to a single-range system. With the SF-110 and SF-120 changes of 1% are easily detectable.

FlowCom
Make Airflow Testing Quick and Easy

Faster, More Accurate Airflow Testing
FlowCom™ automatically measures test pressure and temperature and shows corrected flow on its easy-to-read, graphical display. FlowCom can automatically regulate test pressure with the optional motor controller. Select the test pressure at the beginning of the test, and FlowCom regulates the pressure as the valve lift (or test orifice size) changes. FlowCom can control to test pressure or airflow (cfm).

All data can be simultaneously transmitted in real time to your computer through its serial or Universal Serial Bus (USB) connection. FlowCom can communicate with WinDyn™ for flowbenches and Port Flow Analyzer software for airflow data analysis.

If preferred, you may record results manually on SuperFlow-supplied forms and can freeze the data at each test point using the FlowCom keypad or a hand- or foot-operated push button.

You can connect a velocity probe to the FlowCom inputs to display air speeds. Connect a strain gauge, frequency-based swirl meter, or tumble meter, and FlowCom displays swirl torque or swirl per unit of flow.

Features

  • Automatically calculates, corrects, and shows flow on the large graphic display
  • Automatically regulates test pressure with optional motor controller
  • Perform cylinder head port tests in a fraction of the time needed for testing without FlowCom™
  • Control to test pressure or airflow (cfm)
  • External velocity probe, swirl-and-tumble-meter input
  • Compact, lightweight microprocessor design is self-contained, so no computer is necessary
  • Rugged construction to withstand harsh shop environments
  • Easy-to-clean, bubble-button keypad
  • Large numeric keypad for rapid data entry.
  • Works with computer equipped with optional WinDyn™ for flowbenches and Port Flow Analyzer™ airflow analysis software
  • FlowCom™ is available factory-installed or as a retrofit on other SuperFlow flowbenches
  • Firmware upgrades are easy to perform using the USB interface
