Header Tank Solutions
 

Header Tank Solutions

Goyen manufactures a wide range of custom built header tanks for pulse-jet dust collector filters, complying with the following European Directives: CEE 87/404 and 90/488 and have fulfilled the conditions required to carry a CE approval. Header tanks are certified for a maximum working pressure of 7,5 bar and are supplied with a test certificate.

Suitable for: Dust collector applications, in particular for reverse pulse jet filter cleaning and its variations including bag filters, cartridge filters, envelope filters, ceramic filters, and sintered metal fibre filters.

Goyen can also arrange the manufacture of tanks to UL and AS requirements

 


Full Immersion System


The Mecair patented "Full Immersion" system consists of a round header tank with fully integrated 500 Series diaphragm valves. The 500 Series diaphragm valves provide manufactures of reverse pulse filters with performance and installation benefits far in excess of traditional diaphragm valves.

Manufactured in accordance with the CE directive, the fully immersed system is available in 4 tank diameters (5", 6", 8" & 10").



To compliment this superior system, Mecair offer a comprehensive range of mounting brackets, bulkhead connectors and other accessories.

 


 

 
Header Tank - 200 Series

Mecair manufacture a wide range of header tanks for reverse pulse filters. Manufactured in accordance with the CE directive (CEE 87/404 and 90/488) the tanks are certified for a maximum pressure rating of 7.5 bar (110 psi).

The threaded stub pipe (Type A) connections are suitable for mounting the Mecair 200 Series range of diaphragm valves.

 

 
Header Tank - 300 Series

Mecair manufacture a wide range of header tanks for reverse pulse filters. Manufactured in accordance with the CE directive (CEE 87/404 and 90/488) the tanks are certified for a maximum pressure rating of 7.5 bar (110 psi).

The plain stub pipe (Type B) connections are suitable for mounting the Mecair 300 Series range of diaphragm valves.

3 Series Pulse Jet Valves
Category: Threaded Port Valves

Superior performance, easy maintenance diaphragm valve available with threaded ports (T3), dresser nut ports (DD3) or flange and slide ports (FS3). Outlet at 90° to inlet. 3 Series valves are available as remote pilot valves and may be converted to integral pilot applications through the use of the screw in pilots of the MIP and 3DS series.

MM Series Pulse Jet Valves
Category: Manifold Mount Valves

Very high performance diaphragm valve designed to be mounted directly into the compressed air manifold. 1" and 1.5" models are supplied with outlet pipes to length specified, 3" and 3.5”models are supplied without outlet pipes.

Goyen's unique cleaning systems modelling software allows our engineers to quickly configure and optimise all significant reverse pulse jet cleaning system parameters to your requirements, including:

  • Valve size and type
  • Actual cleaning flow rates
  • System pressures
  • Actual developed over pressures
  • Required nozzle orifice sizes
  • Required tank sizes
  • Free air consumption
  • Peak pressures

This modelling service takes the guesswork out of filter cleaning system configuration and is suitable for all fabric filter bags, pleated and cartridge filters. We particularly recommend the use of this free service when using Goyen valves, venturis and nozzles.

Goyen's Baghouse Evaluation System software allows almost instant assessment of reverse pulse baghouse running costs in both sequential and demand based cleaning modes giving:

GOCO Nozzle PLC (1" and 1.5" Pipe)

Suitable for
  • 1" and 1.5" pipe diameters in reverse pulse jet filter cleaning applications and its variations including bag filters and cartridge filters. Plastic nozzles are not suitable for high ambient temperature applications above 80 deg C (176 deg F).


 
GOCO Nozzle Screw In (3/4" and 1" Pipe)

Suitable for
  • 3/4" and 1" pipe diameters in reverse pulse jet filter cleaning applications and its variations including bag filters and cartridge filters.

Plastic nozzles are not suitable for high ambient temperature applications above 80 deg C (176 deg F). These nozzles are designed to be screwed directly into the threaded outlet of a 'T' series dust collector valve, or into threaded sockets welded to blowtubes.

Cartridge Cleaning Cone

Goyen's Cartridge Cleaning Cone attaches to the Goyen GOCO nozzle system. This product optimises the cleaning pulse in cartridge filter applications by ensuring that the developed pressure in the filter is even along the entire length of the filter element.

Suitable for
  • Cartridge and pleated filter elements used in reverse pulse jet dust collectors. Suitable for filter elements with internal diameter of 60mm (2.4") or larger. The Cartridge Cleaning Cone may be assembled to any of the Goyen range of GOCO nozzles.

Not intended for use in gas turbine applications.

Bulkhead Connectors


Goyen produces a range of aluminium diecast bulkhead connectors designed to ease the installation of cleaning systems onto dust collectors. These components eliminate the requirement for welding and allow easy removal of cleaning systems and blowtubes for maintenance purposes.

Suitable for:
  • Most reverse pulse jet dust collector installations and their variations including bag filters, cartridge filters, envelope filters, ceramic filters, and sintered metal fibre filters.


 

Bulkhead Seal Cup

Goyen produces a range of EPDM and viton bulkhead seals designed to ease the installation of cleaning systems onto dust collectors. These components eliminate the requirement for welding and allow easy removal of cleaning systems and blowtubes for maintenance purposes.

Suitable for:
  • Most reverse pulse jet dust collector installations and their variations including bag filters, cartridge filters, envelope filters, ceramic filters, and sintered metal fibre filters.

 


 

Air Cannons CNN

Mecair manufacture and design an extensive range of pneumatic operated air cannons, to dislodge all types of dust which stick to silo walls and cause bridging in the bottom of dust collector hoppers. Ensuring efficient product flow, for effective operation of powder and bulk handling processes.

Mecair air cannons consist of two elements; a high flow Mecair diaphragm valve, and CE approved air accumulator. These quick opening valves, instantaneously discharge the pneumatic energy contained in the tank on which they are mounted, striking the material to be dislodged with a controlled impulse of compressed air.

Available in four sizes:

  • CNN5: diaphragm valve VEP206 (3/4") - 5 litre air accumulator.
  • CNN15: diaphragm valve VEP208 (1") - 15 litre air accumulator.
  • CNN25: diaphragm valve VEP212 (1 1/2") - 25 litre air accumulator.
  • CNN50: diaphragm valve VEP216 (2") - 50 litre air accumulator.

     


 
Bulkhead PTD

The PTD two piece bulkhead fittings connect the valve to the blow tube through the wall of the filter. An important saving of time and material is allowed by the quickness of the connection to a non threaded blow tube with no need for welding or use of additional fittings.

The PTD range of bulkhead fittings are constructed in anodized die-cast aluminium providing protection from corrosive and environmental conditions.

Pipe Seal MNC

The pipe coupling is designed to guarantee a perfect seal between the filter wall and the blow tube or the linear connection between two pipes having the same diameter. They allow an extremely quick assembling in the two following versions:
  • MNC, Single pipe coupling for one piece tubes.
  • MND, Double pipe coupling for two piece tubes.

Filter Cleaning Control Systems
Continuous and Differential Pressure Controller

The Goyen Precision series dust collector cleaning systems controller has a unique modular format that allows a simple Sequential Mode controller to be easily upgraded to Enhanced Differential Pressure Mode control, analog and digital I/O, and full SCADA and DCS integration.

Description:

The master controller has 10 on-board outputs, which may be expanded to 200 outputs total through the connection of up to nineteen 10 output expansion cards. All outputs feature individual push-button manual triggers and LED lights. The expansion cards are available with compact push-in terminals or large screw-terminal types.


Continuous Mode Sequential Timers

The electronic microprocessor sequencer model "MT" uses advanced microprocessor technology, expressly designed to control the interval and pulse time of diaphragm valves, focusing on reverse pulse-jet systems with pneumatic cleaning procedures. All the technical characteristics satisfy the "CE" Directives and the Mecair product conforms with the following European Regulations: 89/336 EEC and 93/68 EEC.

Main Features

  • Regulation of the pulse time and the pause time, with indication on the display.
  • Short-circuit alarm and alarm for microprocessor malfunction.
  • Easy selection of outlet voltage (AC/DC) and inlet voltage (AC).
  • Setting number of end cycle cleaning. The final cleaning can start up with a remote contact as well as by switching off the fan.


On Demand, Differential Pressure Controls

The Goyen 20 Series Pulse Controller is an advanced microprocessor controller of the cleaning system in reverse pulse filters in pneumatic systems.

The 20 Series Pulse Controller can operate in the following modes:

  • Off
  • Manual
  • Automatic

In AUTOMATIC mode, sequential cleaning is initiated only when the differential pressure (DP) across the filter reaches a predetermined level. Once the DP is reduced to an acceptable level, sequential cleaning ceases.

200 Series Pulse Controller
The Goyen 200 Series Pulse Controller is an advanced microprocessor controller of the cleaning system in reverse pulse filters in pneumatic systems.

The 200 Series Pulse Controller can operate in the following modes:

  • Off
  • Manual
  • Automatic

In AUTOMATIC mode, sequential cleaning is initiated only when the differential pressure (DP) across the filter reaches a predetermined level. Once the DP is reduced to an acceptable level, sequential cleaning ceases.

GC3000 Series Cleaning System Controller
(USA ONLY)
The Goyen Go-Co GC3000 series cleaning system controller was designed to satisfy the requirement for reliable 'demand' cleaning.
Three modes of operation can be programmed; 'off', 'continuous' or 'demand'. In practice demand cleaning reduces the number of cleaning pulses in a given period of time resulting in extended bag life, reduced compressed air consumption, longer valve life, lower emissions and less service downtime.

 

Control Accessory

DP MONITOR

The DP Monitor is a differential pressure monitor designed specifically for filter house applications. The apparatus is available with 2 different mounting enclosures:

  • Standard ABS Enclosure (IP65)
  • Din Rail Mounting enclosure (IP64)

LEAK DETECTOR LKD

The leak detector is an electronic unit able to detect and signal minute abnormalities in the emission patterns of a gas flow from pulse-jet filters. A photoelectric infrared ray is detects presence of particulate matter within the airflow This allows the unit to relay information to any of a number of recording devices as to the status of the particulate matter in the ducts.

The high sensitivity of the LKD photoelectric sensor makes it possible to detect minute quantities of particulate within the system. A particulate presence as small as 1 milligram per cubic foot is detectable. The high sensitivity is complemented by the system ability to remain on line and fully functional despite heavy lens soiling.

Q Series Solenoid

Solenoid used in remote or integral actuation of dust collector diaphragm or pilot valves.

Suitable for

All integrally piloted Goyen dust collector diaphragm valves, RCA3D series pilot valves and pilot valve enclosures, and 3DS pilot valves.

Installation:

Slide solenoid over ferrule tube. Ensure terminals are on top. For QT and QF type solenoids ensure nylon washer is in place. Slide clip onto pilot iron top. Ensure voltage supplied to solenoid is within -10% and +15% of the solenoid rated voltage.

Installation

Prepare pilot mounting hole in panel to Ø19.3/19.4 (Ø0.760"). Panel thickness must exceed 1.5mm (0.062"). Ensure o-ring is in place before tightening locknut. Preferably, install pilot valves with solenoid on top. For reliable operation, ensure supply voltage is within -10% and +15% of rated solenoid voltage. Replace components within 1 million cycles.

3DS Pilot Valve

Pilot valve with integral silencer and dust shroud to mount directly to dust collector diaphragm valve.

Suitable for

RCAC20T3, RCAC20ST3, RCAC20DD3, RCAC20FS3, RCAC25T3, RCAC25DD3, RCAC25FS3 dust collector valves only.

Installation:

Ensure o-ring is in place on diaphragm valve cover. Gripping the shroud, hand tighten 3DS pilot valve onto cover od diaphragm valve. For reliable operation ensure supply voltage is within -10% and +15% of rated solenoid voltage. Solenoid is free to ratate on pilot valve. 3DS thread will suit 1/8 BSP T, 1/8 BSP P and 1/8 NPT ports. Replace pilot components within 1 million cycles.

Diecast aluminium enclosures for Goyen RCA3D pilot valves, available optionally with anti-condensation heater.

Suitable for

ATEX Category 3 D & G, and all other non-hazardous applications, for piloting Goyen diaphragm valves.

Installation

  • Ensure devise is disconnected from power before opening the enclosure. These enclosures are all finished with the common solenoid terminals pre-wired.
     
  • For reliable operation, ensure supply voltage is within -10% and +15% of rated solenoid voltage.
     
  • To guarantee NEMA4 performance ensure gasket is in place when attaching lid to enclosure base.
     
  • Replace components within 1 million cycles.

Diecast aluminium enclosures for Goyen RCA3D pilot valves suitable for use in dust ignition proof and flameproof applications.

These systems are supplied fully assembled from the factory and apart from electrical connections, must not be modified. Such modification will void the hazardous rating of these enclosures.

Explosion Proof - PEX/PXA

The two way (normally closed) explosion proof pilot valves type PXA and PEX are designed for the remote control of the Mecair VEM type diaphragm valves.

The PXA/PEX range is both explosion and waterproof with CENELEC EEx d IIC T5 and IP67 protection rating. This ensures that any spark resulting from the electric activation of the solenoid, will be restricted within the internal area of the enclosure, according to CENELEC EN 50014-50018 and NEMA 4x, 7 9 protection ratings. The PXA/PEX explosion proof valves are CENELEC certified No: EX-93.C.119

Explosion Proof - CXD - 4 way

The CXD explosion proof solenoid pilot valve enclosure is designed for the remote control of the Mecair VEM type diaphragm valves. The CXD range is both explosion proof and waterproof with EEx d IIB T5 and IP67 protection rating. This ensures that any spark resulting from the electric activation of the solenoid, will be restricted within the interior of the case, according to CENELEC EN 50014-50018 and NEMA 4x, 7 9 protection ratings. The CXD explosion proof casings are CENELEC certified No: EX-93.C.118

The CXD range is available in the following models:
  • CXD 1-2-3-4 from 1 to 4 solenoid pilots.
  • CXD 5-6-7-8 from 5 to 8 solenoid pilots.

The CXD range includes standard features such as mounting brackets, pre-wired common terminals, common exhaust duct, anodized aluminum base and cover.

For low temperature applications, CXD enclosures are available with a thermostatically controlled heating element.
